Always On

OK… we know we are spoiled. We were able to justify the purchase and installation of an Iridium Pilot… because we still have a business to run.

There is ALMOST always one of the 66 Iridium LEO (low Earth Orbit) satellites within range so we can call or email anyone anytime… or download weather gribs… even when we are thousands of miles from anywhere.

Although we have figured out how to minimize the day 2 costs… There are certainly less expensive communication options like email over SSB or the IridiumGo. But the good news is that there are now so many ways to stay in constant touch with civilization… for safety and convenience.
